This is one of those UX books that everybody in UX has. Consider it a foundational book if you want to do anything UX related. It talks a lot about human behavior and how that factors into designing things.

This is another one of those UX books that everybody in UX has. This book helps you understand basic principles of UX design and understand how to apply those principles.

This book is awesome for beginners in UX who are trying to find their first job in the UX industry. In this book, Vy Alechnavicius gives tips for how to fine tune your portfolio, how to gain commercial experience in UX, How to stay positive amongst the grind to get a UX job and more.

This book is more geared towards those that are already working in UX but I think it can definitely teach entry-level designers what to expect once they get their first job in UX.

It doesn’t hurt to have advice from multiple people. You can take what’s good from everyone and make that advice work for you. This is what this book does.

If you want to know about how psychology factors into UX then this book is a great place to start. You will learn about laws affecting UX design such as Fitt’s Law, Hick’s Law, Miller’s Law, Jakob’s Law and others.

Understanding UX research is important because why you’re doing research determines how you go about doing the research. This can also affect how you go about designing things after you’ve concluded your research. Even if you’re not specifically a UX researcher, but still occupy another space within UX, this book can be good for you.

Sometimes it’s good to have tools that allow you to practice your craft. This is where the UX/UI Designer Notebook comes in.

The 2016 paperback version of this book has a 241 pages. That’s good for those people that want a book that’s not too big but not too little when it comes to teaching the reader about understanding UX.

Let me be clear. UX is not just designing mobile apps, although it can certainly seem that way at times. However, for those times when designing a mobile app is what you’re doing this book has you covered.
